
SUCCESS BAEKPA landed the first blow in the domestic Road to the Korea Cup of 2025 when he scored in the Herald Business Cup (2000 KOR-G3) at Seoul Racecourse on Sunday March 16th.
The Min Jang-gi trainee won two legs of the Triple Crown as a three-year-old last year and under jockey Seo Seung-un, narrowly overcame SPEED YOUNG, 4th in the 2024 Korea Sprint, who was just a head back in 2nd place. NUT PLAY was 3rd and TIZ BAROWS 4th.
Busan-based Success Baekpa is by Purge and is out of Korean Oaks winner Baekpa (by Revere). With the victory, he moved on to 6 wins from thirteen starts. having concluded his three-year-old campaign with 4th place in the Presidents' Cup and 3rd place in the Grand Prix Stakes, both local Group 1 events.
The second leg of the Stayer Series is the YTN Cup (2000M KOR-G3) at Seoul on Sunday April 20th. GLOBAL HIT, the best local finisher in last year's Korea Cup, is expected to make his 2025 Korean debut following his 3rd place in the Al Maktoum Classic at Meydan last month.
